Images in action in dance and university extension in Diamantina-MG
Abstract
The objective of this work is to present the visual memories of the poetics of the body project, an extension action and university culture in Diamantina-MG. The images, connecting to the reflections on dance and teaching developed, offer the reader another possibility of access to bodily experiences, highlighting, principally, the layer of the sensitive dimension of the gesture. Aiming to experience dance from the perspective of language, the project was based, especially, on the principles of Laban, based on the studies of Marques (2010). The records communicate about the pedagogical process, conducted with an emphasis on the dimension of gestural research, considering the expressive qualities of movement and the relationship of the body with space. By providing knowledge of this artistic collection, it is also intended to sensitize the reader through contemplation, which can arouse numerous sensations, emotions and individual perceptions. Reflections on the creative processes in dance and contemporary artistic proposals that inspired the project's teaching practices support the discussions of this essay. The importance of extension actions in universities is emphasized, as well as the need for spaces where such experiences can be shared and valued in the scientific environment.
