School Group Teacher Maria Edith Selbach and Final Exams (1934-1945)
Abstract
This article analyzed the school culture from the final exams in the School Group Teacher Maria Edith Selbach, Vila Barão, at the time municipality of Montenegro/RS, between the years 1937 and 1945. The main objective was to investigate the practices attributed, with regard to the knowledge and rituals of the final exams. The sources were books and minutes written by principals and teachers. It is concluded that the group was marked by evaluative practices applied quarterly, and at the end of the year, through the final exams. Students who achieved outstanding results were awarded prizes.
