Abstract
The article reproduces the text of the defence of Doctorate Dissertation in Sociology presented to the University of Salamanca – Spain. The main objective of this investigation was to examine the possibilities of academic success of the gypsy community in that country, from the point of view of the interpretation of educational policies in the everyday schooling of gypsy children.
