INTERDICTIONS AND MANIFESTATIONS OF POWER
a matter of culture?
Abstract
This research is an ethnographical study carried out at a school in Alto Vale do Itajaí, SC, with a Primary School teacher and 23 students. The data analysis is done through the principles of speech for an understanding of how some meanings are produced. It may be said that there are several ways of interdiction among the research results, such as: the fitting of the students in the rhythm of tasks execution and the arrangement of the bodies. It is concluded that the interdictions manifest in the school environment so that it may be a place where the individual can be "improved". This research aims at contributing in the discussion related to education, which investigation field is language and, specially, when associated to the debate about interdiction and its bond with culture, the way of interdiction at school as well as its use.
