LITERACY IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC
tensions challanges and the persistence of female teachers
Abstract
This article aims to present and problematize the experiences of teachers and managers during the emergency of remote teaching and the partial and total return to face-to-face classes. The research focuses on the states of Piauí and São Paulo. The research is composed of two phases, articulating quantitative and qualitative data, by means of a questionnaire and focus groups. The first, exploring remote teaching had 1,467 respondents in the two states. The second explores face-to-face classes and is ongoing. The conclusions highlight the working conditions, the reduced opportunities for experiences with writing, and the limits of pedagogical mediation.
