LITERACY IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
an ethnographic study of a first grade class
Abstract
This study is about literacy in the Covid-19 pandemic. Our focus is on the interactions that took place through a Whatsapp group and the materials of the PET (Tutorado Study Plan) imposed by the government of the State of Minas Gerais. We carried out a netnography in which we collected all the videos, audios and photographs of the activities proposed by the teacher in 2020. The results indicate that the teaching took place asynchronously, through the mediation of the family, marked by the teacher's great difficulty in monitoring and intervening effectively in the children's learning process.
