Professores e Trabalhadores
memórias docentes sobre o Curso de História da FAFIN/FFCL (atual UFRN)
Abstract
The objective of this article was to investigate how a group of retired professors from the Faculdade de Filosofia de Natal (FAFIN) History course, later called Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras (FFCL), constructed representations of the training offered in the course and the conditions of teaching work, in the period prior to the incorporation of the course to Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in 1968. For this, interviews with teachers of the first and second generations were analyzed, in 2006 and in 2018. The concepts of Work (LEFEBVRE, 2013), Generation (SIRINELLI, 1986), Oral Source (PORTELLI, 2016) and Memory (NORA, 1993) were mobilized. The methodology of analysis of oral sources was used. The influence in this process of the objective of meeting the demands of the present time of the production of oral sources was remarkable, due to the commemorative circumstances of the moments (ephemeris of the 50th and 60th anniversary of the course).
