O potencial do método histórico-comparativo para o estudo das ditaduras e da Justiça de Transição no Cone-Sul
Abstract
In recent years, several studies have been carried out from different perspectives to understand
both the civil-military dictatorships of the Southern Cone and the Transitional Justice that
permeated the process of redemocratization in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile and
Uruguay. The heterogeneous analyzes originate from sources such as Law, History and the
Social Sciences, among others. What this work intends to point out is the potential of the
historical-comparative method for new interpretive possibilities of dictatorial and transitional
phenomena from the perspective that the processes have several elements in common and by
understanding them in a comparative way it is possible to establish new theoretical frameworks
for the specifics of the South American cases.
