WORKING CONDITIONS AND SOCIAL VULNERABILITY OF PATIENTS
ISSUES UNDERLYING PREHOSPITAL CARE
Keywords:
Prehospital care, Working conditions, Social vulnerability
Abstract
This study is based on a report of experience in pre-hospital care to carry out an analysis about working conditions in which the victim rescued by the Mobile Emergency Service, SAMU, is located, at the time of a traffic accident that occurred in a city in Rio Grande do Sul. The victim in question is a 23-year-old motorcyclist, whose source of income comes from work done as a motorcycle courier. The discussion around this service aims to recognize the meaning of work in society and the processes that precarize such activity, exposing workers, in this case the courier, to conditions of social vulnerability.
