THE PROJECT “TRIP TO AFRICA"
Abstract
This article reflects on the universe of cultural expressions of non hegemonic groups in con temporary society. It is part of the readings, questions, reflections and projects CATAVENTO: Networks and Territories of Cultures and Identities, group studies to popular culture associated with the Centre of African Languages and Cultures and the Black Diaspora (CLADIN) and Laboratory Studies African, Afro Brazilian and Diversity (LEAD). Founded in late 2008, the group aims to pay attention to popular cultural expressions studied by its member s, seeking to understand such arrangements from their specificities and amid dialogues, transits and possible intersections between different contemporary artistic and cultural expressions. In this sense, the article in question is reporting Project “Trip to Africa" as cognitive production in compliance with the Law 10.639/2003.
