IDENTIDADE E IDENTIFICAÇÃO RACIAL EM QUESTIONÁRIOS SOBRE CULTURA POLÍTICA
Abstract
This work is justified by observation of the use of different criteria in research of racial classification in political and cultural questionnaires: the self-perception of identity by the interviewee and the visual perception by the interviewer. Observing these criteria the following questions arose: Is there a better way to address the racial question in questionnaires of political culture? If so, where it is the visual identification by the interviewer or the interviewee's perception with regard to their race? The objective of this research is to discuss the issue of self-perception identity. Therefore, the research methodology used was bibliography research, divided into sections dealing with the perception of racial identity, one that talks about Brazilian identity, and the relationship between identity and racial self-perception in Brazil. The research conclusion showed that in front of different perceptions of racial identity that individuals have about itself and in relation to the others, the most correct approach would be to used both criteria, self-perceived racial identity of the interviewee and interviewer's visual perception, in the questionnaire development of political culture in question.
