Abstract

The extension project “@Univestudar: promoting autonomy and study habits” started in March 2021, when the @Univestudar page on Instagram was created with the aim of offering a free channel for the dissemination of information that will help students, mainly in high school and college, to develop autonomy and study habits, especially considering the challenges faced with continuing classes remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a project developed by young people and for young people. The group, coordinated by a professor from the Education’s Depart- ment at the College where they study, guides the publications, but it is the university students who created the page, shared the work and sought materials and content for the publications. Therefore, the project draws on the expertise of young people with social networks, as well as making them, who are also experiencing the challenge of studying in the remote period, to use their experience, their difficulties, to seek materials that help other young people who face similar challenges. In addition, the platform allows the content to be made available quickly, simply, with basic and brief information in a young language, combining the use of a social network with the opportunity to disseminate quick tips on study and learning strategies.
