A SUSTENTABILIDADE COMO POTENCIALIZADORA DA INDISSOCIABILIDADE ENTRE ENSINO, PESQUISA E EXTENSÃO

UMA REFLEXÃO A PARTIR DA PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO

Abstract

This essay presents a reflection on the theoretical and extensionist aspects that guided the formu-
lation of the Specialization Course in Management for Sustainability, from the Mercosur Integra-
tion Center (CIM), reflecting on the theoretical and practical aspects that guided its formulation.

The theme of Sustainability is treated as an enhancer of the inseparability between teaching,
research and extension. The university-society relationship significantly marks the course based
on three pillars: 1) Sustainability as a choice that represents a CIM commitment to sustainable
development, both in internal and institutional actions, as well as in relation to the region in
which it is located ; 2) the transversality and indivisibility of the Sustainable Development Goals
in the joint work of the areas that makeup the CIM, enabling a complex approach to the theme
of Sustainability; and 3) the practical dimension that the course acquires from the understanding
of the importance of producing studies, research, policies and teaching and extension actions
that promote Sustainability in the actions of public and private agents.
