Musicalization extension course by digital audio workstation (daw)
first course offer experience report
Abstract
The present work objective report an experience report of the first offer of the level 1 online extension course about musicalization trough Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for students, course with 31 and a half hours that took place between August and November 2021. The course was aimed at Professional and Technological Education (PTE) students from the CEFET-RJ and the external community from 14 years of age who had computers, not being required to previously play or own any conventional musical instrument in their homes. The course took place throught he application Bandlab for education and Microsoft Teams synchronously and asynchronously. A methodology was sought that aimed to expand the transactional distance (MOORE; KEARS- LEY, 2010) and, the same time, maintain dialogue with students. Content was created included composition, performance, music appreciation, music production, solfege and ear training, with an emphasis on the first four, the first three considered in the first plan by Keith Swanwick (2014) and the last one as an observation of the needs of the 21st century musician amateur or professional. Tasks considered specific to distance music education was carried out, in addition to self-criticism about the activities carried out in the course. Was concluded that in future course offerings it will be necessary to better equalize the lessons.
