Abstract

This research presents the academic interactions (AIs), practiced at UFRGS, and the Nucleus of Agreements that is involved in this relationship. The general objective was to describe the structuring of an ecology of knowledge at the university, based on three cases related to the teaching-research-extension trilogy at UFRGS in the period from 2011 to 2015. The methodology was qualitative and documental. The result of the investigation allowed us to infer that in the university environment, understanding and sharing of worldviews passes, as well as extension, with projects and actions outside the university in the progressive dialogue between scientific knowledge and lay and popular knowledge. This paradigm is confirmed in the support of academic interactions, proving the mission and social responsibility of the university.
