A ANÁLISE DE CONTEÚDO E A ANÁLISE DO DISCURSO COMO OPÇÕES METODOLÓGICAS NA PESQUISA DE REPRESENTAÇÃO SOCIAL
Abstract
Among the methodological options to the study of representations, one recognizes discourse analysis that attends to interests such as semiotics analysis, associated with a critical examination of the conditions (historical, ideological) of the production of the message and content that makes as to identify and analyse, from certain theoretical references, the content of the message. This analysis is situaded in a context where we can find the conditions of its production.
Thus, this paper discourses research projects that constituted thesis of the contest for Titular Professor in two Brazilian Universities: “Universidade Federal Fluminense” (1994) as Titular Professor of Didactic and “Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro” (1995) as Titular Professor of the teaching-learning area. The above recurring thesis, one refers to a content analysis (Rangel, 1994) and the other refers to the discourse analysis (Rangel, 1995) bring, in the Chapter of Methodology, concepts and principles that justify the methodological choice for the study of representations and also the adopted procedures.
Concluding, we can observe as a methodological way helped us to analyse expectations and idealizations about a “good teacher” (Rangel, 1994) and a “good student” (Rangel, 1995).
