Abstract

The acknowledgement of the close relationship among economical, social and political contexts as determiners of pedagogical action in the university supports the observation of evidence of the significant change in medical education. The dominant scientific paradigm of the last century, which resulted of a positivist conception of science, has shown to be worn out. At the present moment it is possible to perceive a new paradigm to medical teaching, which is expressed in researches on medical education, innovative curricular strategies as well as in the organization and praising of new professional fields.
