DEVELOPING INTERDISCIPLINARITY
A Case Study at SENAI: the Cetind Unit
Abstract
Interdisciplinary projects perform the important task of promoting holistic education, which ensures the development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor knowledge and skills, by integrating and contextualizing the elements that comprise the educational process. This paper aims at describing the use of interdisciplinary concepts in classes taught in a telecommunications technical course in high school, based on the efficacy assessment of previous experiences. The results show that the methodology of direct intervention - the implementation of a virtual company, simulating real challenges within the Integrative Project and providing the opportunity for students to construct an entire telecommunications project - was successful in the application and development of interdisciplinary concepts in class.
