INTERNATIONAL ORGANISMS OF CAPITAL AND THE EDUCATION REFORM ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF CAPITALISM
Abstract
This paper presents a critical analysis of the policies carried out by international agencies of capital, mainly the World Bank, UNESCO, and WCO; they have oriented a set of reforms in countries that are on the outskirts of capitalism. These reforms constitute the neo-liberal project of sociability that has been implemented worldwide since the 1970's. This set of reforms, which articulates the re-structuring of production, the changes in the role of the State, and the construction of a new bourgeois sociability, comprises educational reforms, mainly the ones that have been implemented in higher education in peripheral countries since the late 20th century.
