Abstract

This paper aims at selecting some suggestions presented by Habermas in his works in order to discuss the roles of the university and of the curriculum in the post-modern culture. It also aims at reflecting on the issue of professional development, mainly on teaching as a profession, and teacher education in Brazil nowadays.
