Abstract
The text discusses aspects of human education based on Rousseau’s pedagogy. It shows the actuality of rousseaunian proposals in elements such as the involvement of the teacher with his students, the discipline, the limits and the role of school in youngster’s education. It concludes that school, as well as all other educational environments, are crucial to develop the child’s self-consciousness in relation to others.
