the autonomy of the educator problematized from Was ist Aufklärung, of Kant
Abstract
The Curriculum Proposal for the Sao Paulo State for the discipline of philosophy elects culture as a vector for high school, just as the curriculum of schools is structured on the basis of skills and abilities. While discussions about culture indicate the need for the school to educate aware and committed citizens to the social reality in which they live, what skills are a priority for this purpose? In this article we examine the Curriculum Proposal of philosophy, showing that this is a suggestion to the teachers that have preserved autonomy in their teaching process. Indeed, autonomy will be problematized here as a possibility of separation from sloth and cowardice, all that which leaves men in the state of minority, according to Kant in Was ist Aufklärung?, our theoretical reference in this article. The method consists of a literature review since this paper was produced from the philosophy of education area.
