Abstract

This article describes an experience of professional training for psychology students during two semesters in the discipline of School Psychology and Learning Problems at the Federal University of Rondônia (Universidade Federal de Rondônia – UNIR), based on contemporary postulates of Critical School Psychology. It is the report of an intervention project with 02 months of observation at school (classroom, courtyard and other activities) and subsequent group formation of parents, teachers and students to discuss the complaints in a public school in Porto Velho (RO) during the second semester of 2008 and first semester of 2009. The results were more efficient in the view of training than in the modification of the crystallized structures of prejudice and stigma against students with learning difficulties and their families, at school. However we believe that we have contributed to the start of a process of reflection on the institutional production of school failure.
