Abstract

The article discusses the challenges of teaching supervision during internships, as a prerequisite to training for teaching at the University of Montreal (UdeM), Quebec. Its goal is to highlight the structure of the internships in the Physical Education teacher education (PETE) programs, which calls for the collaboration between the actors involved in the supervision of student-teachers. Initially, it presents the literature, evoking certain models of educational supervision. Then it describes the structure of teacher education programs at the UdeM, particularly in PETE, and their goals for the supervision of student-teachers. Finally, it addresses two challenges of pedagogical supervision: collaboration and supervision of student-teachers. It concludes pointing paths of research and action for a better coordination between those involved in educational supervision of student-teachers in PETE programs.
