Abstract

This text presents a synthesis of the theoretical studies I have been developing as coordinator of the Studies on Early Childhood Education: Theory and Practice in the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences UNESP / Campus Marilia / SP and as vice leader of the Research Group Pedagogical Implications of Cultural Historical Theory, in the same campus. I intend to present the guidelines outlined by Cultural Historical Theory for education and also to establish implications for daily work in early childhood schools which assume the challenge to promote the maximum development of human qualities in children. According to this approach, it implies the respect to the forms children address reality and learn in different ages and also the necessary access to human culture in its final forms to promote plain development.
