Abstract

Nowadays, Assistive Technology - AT, has been providing people with disabilities with resources adapted to their specific needs to perform various activities. In this aspect, in order to expand reflections that give rise to genuinely inclusive educational practices, we will problematize the application of AT in school, as well as the relevance of its integration to Teacher Training courses. Thus, we will add to the use of related theoretical works, experiences coming from the 5th Teaching Training Meeting, held at the Thinkers, lnterdisciplinary Pedagogy Laboratory of the State University of Goiás - UEG - Inhumas Campus, where it was offered to 19 Pedagogy and Language undergraduates and post-graduates in Higher Education Teaching, the mini-course Assistive Technology Basics Notions. The results of this offer led us to conclude (based on the proposed opinion survey) that, although it has great relevance for teaching practice, the subject is still little discussed in the academic environment.
