Abstract
This article is a reflection on a history teaching experience lived during the supervised internship period of the History Course at the Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense. During the internship, carried out in a high school class, a teaching activity was developed based on the religious practices existing in Rome in the Imperial Period. Initially, the article presents a discussion about the union between theory and practice existing in the internship from research and theoretical reflection. Subsequently, there is the characterization of the theme of the teaching activity carried out with the students. Finally, there is a discussion about the activity carried out, observing its theoretical foundations and the results achieved by the teaching action.
