Abstract

For a long time the history of the Brazilian dictatorship was narrated from the experiences and
experiences that occurred in large urban centers, especially in the Southeast of the country.
However, this is a panorama that is gradually being reversed. In these new studies, the
experiences of other social actors stand out, detailing other forms of resistance, besides the
armada, and taking into account the specificities of the different sectors of Brazilian society
from a regional section, for example, after all the country has a vast territory and the forms of
resistance and repression have their particularities according to the space in which they develop.
To meet this perspective walks this article that, being part of a broader research, intends to
discuss Operação Limpeza and its consequent repression of trabalhistas sectors after the 1964
in Jaguarão- RS.
