Uma dialética da construção do espaço e da cultura
Abstract
The activity developed by the artisanal fishing communities located in Bonfim-Guaraíra Lagoon Complex, is the main form of employment and income, and has a great cultural importance. Breaks the assumption that the social space of the lagoon is not only equipment and landscaping there are social intrinsic meanings to the lifestyles of fishermen and seafood. The purpose of this article is to dialogue with theories about time, space and culture, to try understands how actors construct and reconstruct the space they live in and how it is related to the local culture. From the dialectical analysis between the theories and the notes field diary (empirical pilot search conducted between the months of January/2014 to August/2014), we intend to grasp the social and cultural meanings of Guaraíra lagoon. Finally, it was inferred that the theoretical dialogues about time, space and culture were experienced and correlated to the empirical dialogues, based on the speeches about the construction of the lagoon space and the sociocultural meanings inherent to the activities fishing, shellfishing and leisure activities in the estuary.
