SOCIAL CAPITAL AND MANAGEMENT: CASE STUDY OF THE ASSOCIATION OF ARTISANS OF CHITARTE IN CACHOEIRA - BAHIA
Abstract
This article addresses the social capital in the management of a group of artisans, through a case study at the Chitarte Artisanal Association of Cachoeira Bahia, located in the Recôncavo. Its general objective was to understand the effects of social capital on the management of a solidarity economy enterprise. The study was based on the collection of primary and secondary data, based on a qualitative approach. Interviews were conducted with the artisans and with members of the management advisory organizations developed in the enterprise. A set of information recorded in the group’s advisory process was also used. The analysis, based on different dimensions of social capital, revealed that Chitarte, with the work of advisory, has a trajectory of strengthening in the organizational process, evidencing the presence of social capital.
