OS SAMBAQUIEIROS E AS ÁGUAS. REFLEXÕES SOBRE AS RELAÇÕES ENTRE O MODO DE VIDA PESCADOR E OS RIOS, AS LAGOAS E OS MARES

Abstract

The central proposal of this article is to bring some reflections on the relationship of the sambaquieiros with the water. Starting from the delimitation of these groups as eminently fishermen, studies will be presented that demonstrate the importance of water as an agent of the fishermen's way of life. In this sense, the argumentation will follow in the evidencing of the importance of the aquatic reservoirs, visibility and navigation, and, finally, of the great volume of fish and other aquatic beings present in the archeological sites.
