Experience of urban narrative as a research method in the contemporary city

Abstract

The purpose of this prose writing is to tell you how the master's research method took place, in the city of Pelotas/RS, during March 2018 and 2020. Just like a person who approaches us while we wait for the bus at the stop, for a conversation with no intention other than to pass the time, this written prose article demonstrates in textual body an exercise in academic narrative writing. We will also proceed in the first person, learning about how urban narratives were used as a research procedure to experience being on a bus in feminist cartography. This time the prose won't have peach rice, but next time maybe we'll discover together the recipe that the lady who sat next to me, just before you, told me she wanted. Little does she know that until now I still have that desire, and possibly, you are now too. This writing is about that, the desire to communicate academic research in another way, for who knows, someone to read while coming and going, inside the bus.
