The participation of women in prominent positions in the scientific career

Abstract

Despite their participation in various sciences, women are still in the minority in positions of power and recognition, in whatever field they work in. Thus, the objective of this essay is to present an overview of the participation of women in some of these positions in the areas of mathematics, physics and chemistry, in the world and in Brazil, as well as reflections on the challenges faced by them throughout their scientific careers.
