ENSEÑANZA PÚBLICA VS. ENSEÑANZA PRIVADA
la retórica de la excelencia
Abstract
The present article is placed inside the debate about public and private educational offers. Nowadays, such debate has in large extent been transfigured into a useful instrument of neoconservative groups whose policies attempt against one of the main conquests of Welfare States: the extension of the right to education for all citizens. To gain their ends, those groups make use of a rhetoric which hides the fair dimension of a comparison between public and private. This phenomenom can be observed in Brazil, in Spain and in many other countries. Firstly, I will position the discussion inside a statistical european scenery and after that I shall concentrate upon the "deconstruction" of the stereotypes that support the rhetoric which presently discredits the public.
