INICIAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA E FORMAÇÃO DE JOVENS PESQUISADORES
Abstract
This article considers the social function of educational systems and the concept of academic formation in order to analyze the constitution of scientific initiation activities. The article argues that the purposes of the development of research assistants don't diverge from the objectives of the teaching activity. The connection of students to research projects enriches their academic experience, not only due to the possibility of acquiring a deeper awareness about the subject that is directly linked to the investigation project, but also due to the development of analyzing and interpreting abilities, besides the capacity of working and understanding subjects that are relevant in the social world as a whole. The article characterizes the teaching dimension of the research activities, by analyzing examples related to the educational area.
