A GLOBALIZAÇÃO E OS DESAFIOS DA UNIVERSIDADE PÚBLICA NA AMÉRICA LATINA

Abstract

Globalization is a polemic and discussed subject that involves universities of developed, undeveloped and planned economy countries implicitly and explicitly. Some matters that characterize the neoliberal project and the resulting globalization of the process are deepened. Some directions to reasonable reflections and signalizations are presented to Public University facing the new political, economical, social and cultural world order by challenging the different parts of society that discharge State of social functions so increasing figures of unemployment levels never seen before and excluding significant parcel of the planet population from human conditions of citizenship.
