Abstract

This article aims at situating the issue of history in public school from na analysis of its structure as public.With this, the intention is to break away from the analytical practice common in studies that aim at detecting a crisis in the teaching of history focusing only on that field.
Thus, by observing the structure of public education and of the field of history intimes of modernity, one can note that the crisis in, in fact, in the modern way of teaching and not merely connected to the actual teaching of one discipline.
