Abstract

Being critical, reflexive, thoughtful and conscious seem to be attitudes already known and assimilated. Why still insisting toward that? Don’t we already know enough what to do? The “how to” has come to be the great concern. However, can everything be reduced to procedures and methods? Such questions lead the author into a search for bringing out the adventure of understanding reality. Theory can ascribe something to reality and thus indicate it is not active at all, but a mass waiting for shaping up instead. Would reality be the heritage of something previously existing? Would men be no more than apprehenders, reproducers and repeaters of something immutable? On the other hand, theory may be an outcome of reality. The author intends to figure out answers for all these questions through the comprehension of Hegel’s thought about conscience.
