Abstract

In this second part of “Reflexions of the old teacher” the author analyzes the progress of media and its consequent control over people’s lives. The claimed liberty offered by the Internet isn’t but a democratic chaos and leisure time. The celebrated times of a world of communication leads mankind to a confusion between excess of news and information, abundance of data and liberty or knowlwdge. In a scenery of commodified information the author views distance education as supportable as long as it helps men to become persons.
