Abstract
In times of apocalyptic globalisation both in the field of production and that of cultural distribution, it is highly probable that a utopic world where humankind is enlightened by means of universal literacy has forever been lost. Facing a market invaded by imagetic technology, which banalises the concepts of art and culture and stresses the absence of meaning in objectivity, the contemporary educator's main concern should be to explore educational styles aiming at making it easier to produce meaning through the decoding of representation in visual arts.
