Abstract
This paper, Images and imaginary: the symbolic dimension of things experienced and thought during teacher trainning, was conceived and produced by us with the objective of presenting our investigations and reflecting upon them. It was also aimed at bringing, to the educational setting, the symbolic dimension of the studies of the imaginary – such dimension being understood as the linkage amongst the metamorphoses of things experienced during teacher training process. This text, therefore, is located both in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary fields. In this sense, the rescue of the symbolic function occurs with the help of texts, contexts and images; through the energy of the imaginary and that of symbols, surpassing intellectualized thought.
