THE SCHOOL INTEGRATION OF INSTITUTIONALIZED PUPILS
Abstract
The text is a synthesis of an action-research project which aimed to diagnose the main difficulties for the school integration of children living at an orphanage. The diagnosis was based on several research techniques such as interviewing teachers and pupils, participant observation, and the application of a self-perception rating scale . Based on the diagnosis, the research team also engaged in some intervention practices, whose evaluation contributed likewise to a best understanding of the problems concerning the integration of this kind of school population.
