Abstract

Established the theoretical subject, based, basically, in the Hargreaves’s model on the teaching cultures variety, we looked for to know, near the Sub-Coordinators of the matter groups in a Secondary School, the position that the same ones have on such reality. In this direction, we used an opinion questionnaire, whose data had allowed us to select that a teaching culture of mixing type is desirable, even so are preferentially manifest the favourable trends to a collaborative culture. Really, although not so desired, the balkanisation and broken individualism cultures are acceptable, but it is less evident the propensity to the fluid mosaic and artificial collegialility cultures. Despite the hierarchization of such cultures, none of them is excluded of the social practices of the teachers.
Our conclusions, however, and because they are extensible only to studied Sub-Coordinators, leave an open way for the future inquiries.
