CONTRIBUTIONS OF GEOGRAPHY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION TO OUR LIVES

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to reflect on the importance of the teaching of Geography integrated with Environmental Education praxis. We conceptualize environment and establish its relation with Environmental Education and the teaching of Geography. We concluded that the teaching of Geography should prioritize the process of (re)organization of the geographical space, and should value changes in attitude, solidarity, and the sense of belonging that will contribute to our planet sustainability.
