WOMEN AND THEIR KNOWLEDGE GENERATING ANOTHER ECONOMY
Abstract
The study presented in this article can be included in the field of Work and Education. Specifically, it is concerned with the investigation of the production and socialization of knowledge developed in social practice. Certain knowledge produced by women involved in the activities of generating another economy, in Greater Porto Alegre, is presented and discussed: this knowledge is developed in community actions, in formal and nonformal activities, and in cooperatives. Besides, we reflect on the knowledge process which is constructed while both experiential knowledge and formal knowledge are related and developed.
