Abstract

This paper weaves an educational allegory which invites readers to enjoy the color of human exceptionality; it shines in different ways of being, thinking, learning, creating, and living. So far, exceptionality, distinction, and shade have been hidden by philosophical, psychological, linguistic, and socio-anthropological theories - abundant in the Academy - moral-rational and politically asymmetric in nature. Subtly, they degrade human dignity. Therefore, this paper urges us to turn around and face the other one, our other self, so that we can keep looking with respect at what is uncommon, non-homogeneous, and thus, fits into no generalization. It is inaccessible, unspoken, and ineffable. This meeting implies that there is willingness to see, listen, and think. It is a different look that corresponds to a process of listening; it is attention that brings everything together. To sum up, decision is needed to choose to give and spread love over the world (a world which has been shaken by hunger and lack of hope; it demands that we should not be egotistic anymore). Freedom gives us the possibility to belong to what is worthy and wonderful. The color of exceptionality, dignity, and hope shines extraordinarily with an exceptional glow on the education of our earth.
