SOCIAL EDUCATIVE SUPPORT, DOES ESTABLISHING CHILD AND YOUTH SELF’S?
Communities experiences in the urban periphery
Abstract
This article analyses the political defense of rights of the childhood and adolescence, especially the combat of the children's labor. It situates the legal landmark to analyze the social educative support, component of the public politics of combat to the children's/juvenile labor. The analysis focuses in expediencies at different places / time of an urbane community in the Southern District of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, between 1998 and 2002; and dialogues, also, to other experiences that, in despite of the space-time differences, there maintains the peculiarity of class of the attended population. Methodologically, the observation and the participant research became the principal tools for analysis and intervention in the reality. An earlier conclusion, the article affirms, in one hand, the importance of these spaces for communities, children and inserted adolescents and, in other hand, the deficiency of same, as part of a State politics more subsumed in Government politics.
