THE RIGHT TO THE EDUCATION AND THE CURRENT CHANGE OF THE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE KNOWLEDGE
Abstract
This article discusses the right to the education and the current change in the social functions of the knowledge. Problematizing the political claim of “Education as a right for all” based on these three theories: 1- The abstract and Historical forms as claim “Education as a right for all” turns to ensure the normative and moral values to the political effort; 2- The public education is essential for any society; 3- It’s necessary to create a non Eurocentric space to the effort for the public education. Point out the Porto Alegre Citizen Scholl as a real and solid alternative where new possibilities arising on the relation between the knowledge, public education and community.
