Abstract

Among the professionals who work in the realization of inclusive education practices will find the translator and interpreter of sign language (LIBRAS / Portuguese) (TILS). Training provided for in Decree 5.626, is responsible for linguistic accessibility of deaf students who attend part of Basic Education and Higher Education, interpreting the Portuguese for the Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) and vice versa. The demand for these professionals is growing, as is also increasing the number of registered deaf people in search of knowledge mediated by the pound. However this work has historically been made in the informal social relations, without specific training for this perform. There were the first courses in higher education for training of TILS in 2005. With the publication of Decree 5.626 are officially certain levels of training and assignments. It created the first bachelor to formation of TILS in 2008. This paper discusses the aspects that we consider fundamental to the training of TILS to work in education, taking into account the growing demand for this professional at all levels of education and its role in effective practices of inclusive bilingual education for deaf people.
