Inclusive education: study of state of the art of Brazilian scientific publications in Education and Psychology
Abstract
This article presents a study of the state of the art performed with the aim of understanding how the scientific publications of the fields of Education and Psychology have understood inclusive education, using articles published between 2005 and 2010. T he sample consisted of 480 scientific papers, published in journals CAPES Qualis A1, A2, B1 and B2. The first stage of the study consisted of a quantitative description of the data, highlighting neglected and privileged aspects. In the second stage, we sou ght to identify the difficulties and challenges faced by regular school teachers regarding inclusion and what factors led to successful experiences of educational inclusion. For this, we carried out a qualitative exploratory study using an intentional sub sample (79 articles) and the data were organized into thematic categories. Results indicate increased interest in the subject and concern for quality. Authors have taken a broad perspective in their analysis of the challenges that the inclusion process ent ails.
